The Armed Services YMCA is expanding its child care capacity by 70,000 in five high-need defense communities through funding from Navy Federal Credit Union, Military Times reported.
According to a press release, the nonprofit will increase child care services in:
- Hampton Roads, Virginia
- Honolulu, Hawaii
- Fayetteville, North Carolina
- Killeen, Texas
- San Diego, California
“Affordable and reliable child care is not just a convenience, it’s a critical component of readiness for military families,” Armed Services YMCA President and CEO William French.
