Civilian Employers Get Opportunity to Train with Guard Member Employees
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recently collaborated with the Oregon Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion to fly out civilian employers of Guard members to Orchard Combat Training Center, Idaho. The Boss Lift program gives employers the chance to understand what their reserve and guard member employees go through during their service, training with them and touring their facilities, according to an Oregon National Guard story.
Military and Civilians Collaborate for Mass First Responder Simulation
The city of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania staged a mass casualty drill, bringing together first responders from the military and civilians to train. WFMJ reported that 40 community member volunteers collaborated with 30 service members to simulate response to a violent car crash. The event is part of the Operation Healthy Ellwood initiative to improve the care for citizens of Ellwood City and Ellwood Air Force Base.
Idaho Base Receives New WiFi Service
Boingo Wireless recently implemented Wi-Fi 7 in dorms at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, according to a press release.
“Boingo’s investment reflects a real understanding of what readiness means in the Air Force—it’s about infrastructure that serves the whole airman,” 366th Fighter Wing Commander Michael Alfaro said.
