Caudle Sets Focus on Infrastructure, Quality of Life

September 9, 2025

Chief Naval Officer Adm. Daryl Caudle outlined his priorities in a memo and an X post last week. He said he envisions “a Navy built in the Foundry, forged in the Fleet, and ready to Fight.”

Among the goals he outlined are:

  • Providing sailors and their families “with state-of-the art platforms, world-class facilities and dependable support through our Total Sailor and Family Action Plan”
  • Investing in unaccompanied housing
  • Improving cell service in barracks and installing free wi-fi
  • Modernizing food service for nutrition and to match sailors’ lifestyles

“You are my priority and I need you focused on the fight,” Caudle wrote days after assuming the role. “This is the first of many efforts to improve your Quality of Life – so, stand by for what’s coming next.”
