Air Force Partners with MIT to Teach Pilots About AI
The Department of the Air Force–Massachusetts Institute of Technology Artificial Intelligence Accelerator recently hosted an AI workshop for the Air Force Test Pilot School. The event brought together 40 students for the 11-day learning experience, the Air Force announced in a press release.
“This workshop prepares our testers to lead the integration of AI and machine learning into Air Force operations,” said Maj. Morgan Mitchell, DAF-MIT AIA workshop manager. “Test pilots and engineers need to understand how to design, evaluate and apply these technologies in real-world scenarios.”
JBER Partners with Canada for Joint Operations
Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska recently worked alongside Canadian Armed Forces to complete a joint maritime operation. An Air Force story covered the effort, which served as a show of strength of strike capabilities in the Alaska Theater of Operations.
“Canada and the United States face similar threats to our respective national security and prosperity, and work closely together to protect and defend North America,” said Rear Adm. Josée Kurtz, Canada’s maritime component commander. “By operating with our United States partners, we demonstrate our collective readiness to respond with agility and resolve in the maritime domain.”
