The Senate continues to pause floor action on the National Defense Authorization Act as Republican leaders work on confirming a long list of Trump administration nominees who had been held up. They may have to consider a continuing resolution after that, given the fast-approaching deadline to pass a spending plan.
Most senators seem eager to have further debate, Punchbowl News reported Tuesday.
“I’d like to see us get to the floor and have some amendments. The old-fashioned way,” Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) told Punchbowl.
The House passed its version of the NDAA last week, as On Base reported.
