We may not see the text of the compromise defense authorization bill until this weekend. Republican leaders on Capitol Hill said it would be released yesterday, but according to media reports, there are still disagreements on last-minute items, including some not directly related to defense.
Also still in the air by Thursday night was whether to remove a provision that would expand Tricare coverage for in vitro fertilization, MS Now reported.
The two chambers will be in a race to pass the bill by the end of the year. They are scheduled to recess for the holidays in two weeks.
