Air Force Approves Pad for SpaceX Launch 

Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida has begun making adjustments for SpaceX’s upcoming Starship megarocket launch, Space.com reported. The hosting launchpad, SLC-37, was originally built to support the Apollo program. Starship is designed to be reusable, and the Air Force said in an environmental impact statement that it will have negligible effects on the surrounding area. 

Trees for Troops Brings New York Trees to Fort Drum 

Tree farms from across the state donated Christmas trees to Fort Drum, New York for service members. As a part of the Christmas Spirit foundation, Trees for Troops have donated over 325,000 free trees since founding in 2005, according to an Army story. The program has donated to 93 military bases just this year, both in the U.S. and overseas.
