Hegseth Signals SPACECOM HQ Decision Is Final by Unveiling Sign in Alabama
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Air Force Secretary Troy Meink Friday helped unveil a new Space Command sign at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama after years of back-and-forth about where the Command’s headquarters would be located.
“It is common sense that this is precisely where Space Command should be,” Hegseth said, according to Air and Space Forces Magazine. “It is common sense that we need to move rapidly and expeditiously.”
Organizations Address Veteran Suicide Crisis
Military organizations recently gathered in San Antonio, Texas to address the mental health crisis facing veterans in the wake of a suicide last week, KENS5 reported. The group criticized the lack of transparency for psychiatric medications, calling for more clarity of side effects. The coalition came away from the event with a stronger emphasis on collaboration, bringing together all of their teams in service of their common goal.
