Ohio Students Share Holiday Cards for Soldiers

John Gregg Elementary School in Bergholz, Ohio created 2,500 greeting cards for soldiers and seniors in their community. Students in preschool through sixth grade all contributed cards, the Herald-Star reported. Melissa Huggins, who has run the program for three years, sent 64 envelopes to military members and sent cards to 10 nursing homes. Huggins comes from a military family, which motivated her to send cards to service members who might be far from home.
