GenAI.mil, DOD’s AI platform for military personnel, will begin implementing OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Defense Scoop reported. Over one million service members have begun using the platform, with Pentagon leadership hoping the new addition brings wider adoption.
“The War Department is building an AI ecosystem for speed, security, and enduring mission impact,” the Pentagon announced in a press release. “Integrating ChatGPT into GenAI.mil marks another critical step in making frontier AI capabilities the standard for daily operations.”
Other AI systems, such as Google Gemini and xAI’s Grok were already announced to be included in the platform.
