House lawmakers could begin voting today to address the partial government shutdown that started Saturday, but it is still unclear what will happen next, as The Hill reported.
For now, the Department of Defense is one of several federal agencies with lapsed funding while the administration and Democrats discuss potential ICE reforms.
“We will work together in good faith to address the issues that have been raised, but we cannot have another long, pointless, and destructive Shutdown that will hurt our Country so badly,” Trump wrote Tuesday on Truth Social.
The Pentagon Tuesday released new guidance on what operations are continuing as lawmakers work toward a deal.
