Puerto Rico Base Prepares Transitioning Service Members to be Entrepreneurs 

Fort Buchanan hosted a new Boots to Business workshop, inviting transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans to learn how to start their own business. According to the Army report, the program is available for free monthly, and walks attendees through the process of starting and maintaining a business. 

Pennsylvania Military College Receives $1 Million Federal Grant 

The Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education-Strengthening Institutions Program recently awarded Valley Forge Military College in Pennsylvania with a $1 million grant, helping fund their two-year accrediting system for military-aligned associate and certificate programs. Military.com reported that the grant will be used to implement cutting-edge education technology, including virtual reality and other experiential learning technology.
