Corvias’ Military Student Program Announces Scholarships 

The Corvias Foundation recently opened the 2026 Purple Tassel College Scholarship, giving scholarships to students of military families. According to a press release, Corvias has awarded $20 million in scholarships in its 20-year history. Those interested in the program can apply here. 

Missouri Barracks Celebrates 200-Year Anniversary 

Touted as the oldest military installation west of the Mississippi river, Jefferson Barracks in Missouri is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2026. The base was established in 1826 and was active all the way until 1946 when it was decommissioned. According to a report by First Alert 4, the base still works to maintain historic buildings and will be welcoming members of the community to celebrate the anniversary in October.
