Maryland Base Prepares New Barracks 

The Freedom Center IV Barracks is nearing completion at Fort Meade, Maryland. The brand-new barracks will house 380 service members after three years of construction, according to an Army report. The two buildings will be opened to soldiers this fall after they are outfitted with furniture and appliances.  

Service Members, Veterans Receive Free Olympic Coverage 

Service members and veterans will receive free access to NBCUniversal’s extended coverage of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, NBCUniversal announced. The content is courtesy of NBCUniversal and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and will provide more than 2,500 free hours of Olympic coverage.  

“We believe moments like the Olympic Games have a unique power to connect people across the world,” said Gary Zenkel, president, NBC Olympics. “We’re proud to work with the Exchange to help ensure service members and military families can experience the Winter Games—wherever they are serving our country.”
