New York Base Honors Community Service
Fort Drum, New York hosted more than 30 honorees for their quarterly volunteer recognition ceremony. Service members, civilian employees and military family members were celebrated for their work in the military community.
“You are truly the heart of this community,” Army Medical Department Activity-Fort Drum Commander Duque said. “You live the truth that service doesn’t stop at the end of the duty day. Your commitment to the mission, to your community and to each other reflects the very best of this installation.”
State-of-the-Art Working Dog Kennel Opens in South Carolina
Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina has opened its renovated military dog kennel facility, increasing capacity and quality for its four-pawed residents. The renovation took two years and a $3.2 million investment, an Air Force story reported.
Dogs serving at the installation now have access to more field room, doubled kennel space and upgrades to improve their health.
