Pennsylvania Guard Runs Drone Education Course
Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania ran a 10-day unmanned aircraft system course to educate soldiers on drone operation, a National Guard report covered. The course took soldiers through realistic combat scenarios to develop skills in case the need arises.
“One of my main goals here is to make it as realistic as we can,” course manager Sgt. 1st Class Brandon Wahl said. “So, it’s important for everyone to know how to operate one, because at any point you could be tasked with operating it.”
Military Students Have Packed Spring Break at Missouri Base
Students at the Waynesville R-VI School District in Missouri will have access to loads of events during spring break, due to the work of the Fort Leonard Wood’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Directorate. Fort Leonard Wood has partnered with the local Dru Pippin youth Center, Daughtery Bowling Center, and Bruce C. Clarke Library to host events for students during the break to keep them entertained and learning while school is out, according to an Army report.
