Partial Shutdown Ends; DHS Funding Still Being Negotiated

President Trump signed a bill Tuesday afternoon to end the partial government shutdown that started Saturday. The House passed the spending package, including the defense appropriations bill, earlier in the day. It funds most of the government through September, including the Department of Defense.  

Lawmakers approved Department of Homeland Security funding through next week to allow negotiations on ICE reforms that Democrats want.  

The DHS spending bill includes funding for the Coast Guard.
