The Pentagon has outlined requirements for barracks across all services, eliminating the ambiguity from multiple different standards, Task & Purpose reported.
The published criteria includes a minimum living space requirement, creates a zero visible mold policy, and more.
The policy also outlines how issues should be addressed, with “urgent” problems needing a seven-day solution, and “emergencies” to be solved within 24 hours. In the case of a barracks failure, the report outlines how the service member would be relocated.
