The Department of War has released a request for information, looking for community members to submit important issues facing service members and their families. These responses will be used in recommendations to states to tackle service member issues. 

“This request for information provides an opportunity for the public to submit issues that have an impact on service members and their families where state governments are the primary agents for making positive change,” the request says. 

Previous recommendations have included focusing on school transitions for military kids and supporting records transfers across state borders. 

Submissions close on April 23.
