Scouts Visit New Jersey Base for Hands-On Experience 

Cub and Boy Scouts from Boonton Township, N.J. visited the local Picatinny Arsenal to get hands-on experience with the innovative technology on the installation, according to an Army report. Picatinny’s STEM Outreach Office brought the scouts through demonstrations from scientists and engineers on base, encouraging them to pursue their passions in technology. 

Puerto Rico Firefighters Collaborate with Fort Buchanan 

Soldiers from Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico joined with local firefighters to help address a building emergency. After smoke was discovered in a local building, Fort Buchanan’s firefighting crew was called in to help evacuate an 82-year-old man from the dangerous building, according to an Army story. Dispatchers from the base assisted coordinating the two groups in addressing the crisis.
