Army Reservists Rescue Dog During Training Exercise 

Reservists training at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, Mississippi noticed a lost hunting dog at the outdoor training range. The Air Force medical staff present for the training helped usher the dog off the range and assess it for injury. Soldiers helped provide food and water as the medics made sure the dog was healthy. The soldiers then returned the dog to its owner using the information on its collar, the Army report said. 

Navy Demolishes Former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard 

Six buildings are scheduled for demolition at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, with the Navy removing hazardous materials. The demolition will be performed by ECC within 15 months, the Navy report said. The BRAC Program Management Office and ECC are collaborating with the Environmental Protection Agency to protect air quality standards during the project.
