New California Nonprofit Hosts Panel on Base-Community Partnerships
Southern Pacific Aero-Defense Alliance, a new nonprofit in Santa Clarita, California, recently held a panel discussion on the importance of the region’s aero-defense industry. The Signal reported that the event hosted community leaders to speak on the panel, including representatives from local government and industry.
“Aerospace and defense have long anchored our regional economy and position this region and state as a global leader,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger said. “Los Angeles Air Force Base and Edwards Air Force Base are imperative to keeping these industries based in California.”
