Texas Medical Center Hosts Homeschooled Military Children 

The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center near Fort Hood, Texas, hosted homeschooled military kids for a tour of its robotics department. The event brought the five students through the robotic surgery station, getting the opportunity to meet high-ranking officials and learn about career paths in medical care and robotics, according to the Army story. 

Washington National Guard Breaks Ground on Joint Force Headquarters 

A hotly anticipated joint force headquarters has finally broken ground at Camp Murray, Washington. According to the Guard story, the building had been planned since 2007 but finally got the $57.6 million investment needed to start construction. The new facility will unite staff across multiple facilities and multiple Guard branches, bringing them together to work under one roof.
