Illinois Installation Signs IGSA With Community 

Rock Island Arsenal and Rock Island, Illinois signed their fifth intergovernmental support agreement, recommitting their partnership for the next decade, according to an Army report. The agreement provides the city with $3.9 million annually to provide road and ground maintenance for the installation, joining a suite of previously signed agreements for other utility services, such as water and radio maintenance. 

Texas Colleges Receive Grant for Drone Program 

Red River Army Depot has partnered with Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Texarkana College to use a $5 million Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance grant to enhance drone preparation. According to a KTEN report, each organization will assist in a specific area, with Texarkana College creating drone production courses, Texas A&M University-Texarkana working with battery development and testing, and Red River Army Depot managing defense components.
