Washington Base Honors Month of Military Child
American Legion Auxiliary Hardin Post 113 hosted its monthly community breakfast, this month focusing on honoring military children as a part of the Month of the Military Child. A News-Enterprise article talked to some of the military kids at the event.
“Military kids can really spread the message of how important it is to be in the military and how it can benefit our country. We are basically our parents’ support team when they’re not home,” Hayleigh Peterson, 10, said. “Each community shows how important it is and how it benefits everything we do and how this country will still like stay thriving.”
