The Department of Veterans Affairs will provide $112 million in grants to fund suicide prevention programs for veterans, accepting applications from nonprofits, state and local governments, and community organizations, Military.com reported.
The funding will come through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program, which was founded in 2020 and has provided suicide prevention services to 17,000 veterans in the past year alone. The program is accepting applications through June 12.
