A bill introduced by Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) would increase compensation for disabled veterans and qualifying relatives due to the rise in cost of living, Stars and Stripes reported.
“Congress has a responsibility to deliver meaningful benefits for veterans and their families, and the annual cost-of-living adjustment helps make certain VA benefits keep pace with changes in the economy,” Moran said last week.
The bill would raise payments to match the rising inflation rates.
