Three communities are being added to ADC’s Great American Defense Community program, following their recognition at the recent Defense Communities National Summit. The 2026 class includes Greater Augusta, Georgia; Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana; and the city of Jacksonville, Florida.

Sourcewell is the official partner of the Great American Defense Community program. Since its inception in 2016, the program has recognized more than 50 communities committed to supporting service members, veterans, families and their communities at large.
