Military legislative aides from dozens of House and Senate offices attended a special Defense Communities Caucus briefing on Capitol Hill Tuesday to discuss the administration’s defense budget proposal and how it could impact installations and defense communities. The discussion also centered around ADC’s 2026 policy agenda and the six pillars of ADC’s National Security Starts at Home framework.
“Meeting with federal leaders gives ADC a great opportunity to introduce our policy ideas and raise the concerns of our communities, especially as we move into congressional budget season and final NDAA markups,” ADC Executive Director Matt Borron told On Base. “Advocating for our partners on the Hill and building relationships with lawmakers sets the groundwork for the next steps of community support.”
ADC’s policy advocacy will be further shaped through discussions among community leaders, military leaders and partner organizations attending the 2026 Installation Innovation Forum in Tampa in October.
