Louisiana Installation Partnership Graduates Dental Assistants 

Fort Polk, Louisiana has revived a partnership with the American Red Cross and the local Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital to provide military family members with a dental assistant training program, according to an Army report. The seven-month program provided participants with skills that directly transfer to a new career path, one that can be utilized no matter where they are. 

Mississippi Community Honors Military with Banner Walk 

Bay Springs, Mississippi, has unveiled a new project honoring active-duty service members and veterans, WDAM reported. A “Salute to Freedom Banner Walk” has been created in Neco Park, hosting stories from over 50 current and former area service members. The banner was installed by Bay Springs Chamber of Commerce and the city’s American Legion post and will remain up through July.
