Coast Guard Helps Guam after Typhoon 

The Coast Guard is monitoring ports and waterways after Super Typhoon Bavi caused widespread damage across the Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands and the surrounding waters. Military.com reported that the typhoon closed commercial sea traffic in the area as both Coast Guard and Navy crews assessed damage. No word had been shared by Tuesday on whether the damage has affected operations at the island’s military facilities. 

Liberty Cup Brings in Veterans for Golf Tournament 

The new Liberty Cup, a golf tournament hosted by the Liberty National Golf Club, brought together veterans from the Veteran Golfers Association for a tournament in New Jersey. The event aired on the Golf Channel on the 4th of July and featured teams of veterans from each branch competing in a match-play championship.
