Barracks Air Conditioning Breaks in Hawaii

Four thousand soldiers in the Area North Barracks at Army Garrison Hawaii have lost access to air conditioning after a local water treatment plant began facing mechanical problems. Military Times reported that a majority of the water pump systems have stopped functioning, still providing drinking water but not enough to run water chiller systems. Before repairs are completed, units are allowed to move to MWR facilities that still have functioning air conditioning.
