Fourteen House Republicans joined Democrats Tuesday to defeat a procedural vote that would have advanced the National Defense Authorization Act. The GOP revolt was over issues unrelated to the NDAA, The Hill reported.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who included the NDAA in a broader legislative package along with the SAVE America Act election reform legislation and other measures, said he would try again this week to pass the package.
