Army Introduces Logistics Overhaul

August 28, 2026

The Army recently announced a partnership with the FedEx Dataworks team to overhaul military logistics infrastructure, making it easier to provide equipment to warfighters. The Strategic Capital Initiative will utilize Google Cloud and FedEx logistics technology to ensure Army depots are connected to needs.

“Logistics win wars,” Army Secretary Dan Driscoll said. “Through the Strategic Capital Initiative, we’re pairing the Army’s depots and demand with FedEx’s logistics expertise and Google’s secure cloud to build a supply chain that moves as fast as the fight demands.”

At the upcoming Installation Innovation Forum, representatives from the Army Strategic Capital Office will be speaking on modernizing logistics infrastructure. Learn about their session and register for the event on the IIF website.
