California Reserve Base Community Host Tabletop Training
March Air Reserve Base, California hosted a “Community-Installation Unity Tabletop Exercise,” alongside March Inland Port Airport Authority and Converge Strategies. The event forged partnerships between local government leaders, utility providers, and base officials to handle potential threats as a united community.
“We have a symbiotic relationship with each other. We do not serve alone. We serve with our community partners,” director of Installation Sustainment and Community Partnership at March Air Reserve Base Amee Howard said in an Air Force report.
Louisiana Installation Hospital Staff Learns at Newborn Readiness Skill Fair
Fort Polk, Louisiana hosted a three-day skill fair for 31 staff members to help prepare for six different procedures related to childbirth. The Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum Skills Fair is run annually and focuses on low-frequency, high-risk operations to help prepare staff for an emergency scenario. Expert instructors from different subjects helped staff train using simulation equipment, according to an Army report.
