Florida Community Hosts Wildfire Exercise 

Officials in Jacksonville, Florida, a 2026 Great American Defense Community, met to host a tabletop exercise focused on drought and wildfire prevention. Twenty-five representatives from Naval Station Mayport and Naval Air Station Jacksonville joined local, state and federal partners to discuss emergency preparation for drought conditions and how those can affect emergency response needs, according to a Navy report. 

JBLM Members Meet for ‘Minions and Monsters’ Screening 

Comcast hosted a watch party for over 700 military members at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington for a free screening of the new film Minions & Monsters. The event provided military families with free snacks and giveaways in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Lollipop Theater Network, according to a Comcast press release.
