Trump Creates Military Spouse Commission

President Donald Trump signed an executive order to create a military spouse commission to directly address issues facing military spouses and their families, Military Times reported. The targeted areas include employment, education, childcare, healthcare and deployment support. 

“America couldn’t have the strongest military in the world without the love and devotion of our remarkable military spouses, who make extraordinary sacrifices for our country,” Trump said at the signing event. 

The commission will be comprised of more than 20 members and chaired by War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s spouse, Jennifer Hegseth.
