On this page you will find additional resources to help you nominate a champion and, if selected, plan your local recognition ceremony, including a sample press release, logos, and sample social media posts.

Should I submit other information – including letters?
No, please include all the relevant information in the nomination form. ADC may request additional information as needed. Additional materials submitted outside the form will not be considered.
How do I host a local recognition ceremony?
Local ceremonies can be held October 2025 – January 2026. Upon receiving your nomination, ADC will request information about your local ceremony, including the date and location. This information must be provided to ADC before a physical award is sent. ADC will provide one award per community. Communities will be connected with a local Navy Federal Credit Union representative (if there is one in your area), to attend the ceremony. ADC staff and board members will not attend local events (unless they are local to the region).
When will national honorees be announced?
National honorees will be announced in early 2026.
If selected, will national honorees have to travel to DC for the recognition ceremony?
National honorees will be recognized in-person at the Defense Communities National Summit in May 2026. Names of all champions, local and national honorees, will be included in the recognition materials.
