October 26, 2025 | Monterey, CA
Mark your Calendar: ADC’s annual charity golf tournament will take place on Sunday, October 26, at Bayonet Black Horse Golf Courses, an incredible course with a proud military history. Located in the City of Seaside, just north of Monterey, this golf course was built on the historic grounds of the former Fort Ord Army base. Bayonet, established in 1954 by General Robert B. McClure and named after the 7th Infantry Division, is known for its challenging “Combat Corner” stretch. Black Horse, added in 1964, honors the 11th Cavalry Regiment. Following Fort Ord’s closure, the City of Seaside acquired both courses in 1997. Today, these storied courses have hosted golf legends, U.S. Presidents, and international dignitaries.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will be donated to the Veterans Transition Center of California.

The Veterans Transition Center (VTC) of California is a nonprofit working to end Veteran homelessness by reaching “Functional Zero.” Since 1996, VTC has supported homeless and formerly incarcerated Veterans and their families with housing, meals, clothing, and case-managed services on historic Fort Ord. Veterans receive emergency, transitional, or permanent housing along with counseling, job support, and benefits assistance. VTC also leads the nation’s first Veterans prison yard at CTF Soledad and has helped over 160 incarcerated Veterans reenter society through its LTORR program, with a 0% recidivism rate. Most stay about seven months to achieve stable housing and income.
VTC gives Veterans the tools, structure, and support needed to rebuild their lives and thrive in their communities.
