Virginia’s congressional delegation is making a play for F-22’s to be moved to Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton Roads, according to Stars and Stripes. The entire delegation wrote to the Air Force secretary asking for the move. The planes were moved from Tyndall Air Force Base and are at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., for up to three years while the Pentagon finds their next home….
The Fisher House Foundation is funding new facilities in Ann Arbor, Mich., Aurora, Colo., and Omaha, Nebraska, according to Military.com, then turn them over to the Department of Veterans Affairs to operate as a free place for families to stay while a veteran is receiving medical treatment. VA currently has 41 Fisher Houses, and DOD has 42….
