The Air Force announced Monday that Hill Air Force Base, Utah, has received delivery of the 400th Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth fighter, Air Force Times reported.
“This 400th delivery is a significant milestone as the F-35 Enterprise continues to grow and expand around the world,” said Vice Adm. Mat Winter, program executive officer for the F-35 Joint Program Office.
The Air Force also announced the fleet of fifth-generation fighters has completed 200,000 flight hours. The total includes all test, development, and operational jets, both among U.S. and international aircraft, according to the report.
The F-35 Joint Program office expects delivery of 131 F-35s this year, up 40% from last year.
