The DOD Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation has an open comment period for communities to weigh in on how its upcoming noise mitigation grant program will be structured, according to a Grants.gov announcement.

OLDCC will consider comments it receives when creating the actual grant program, which will distribute up to $75,000 next fiscal year, according to OLDCC’s Community Noise Mitigation page.

“It is imperative for communities, aviation facility sponsors, and other potentially eligible parties to review the proposed eligibility criteria, application requirements, eligible activities, recipients, and timelines for this program,” OLDCC said.

Public comments will be accepted through Oct. 13.
