The DOD Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation is still accepting public comments on its proposed noise mitigation grant program, as posted on Grants.gov. The comment period is open through Oct. 13.

“It is imperative for communities, civil aviation facility sponsors and other potentially eligible parties to review the proposed eligibility criteria, application requirements, eligible activities, recipients and timelines for this program,” OLDCC said this week in a public notice.

OLDCC will consider comments it receives when creating the actual grant program, which will distribute up to $75,000 next fiscal year, according to OLDCC’s Community Noise Mitigation page.
