More than 70 community agencies and organizations in the North Country region participated in Mountain Meetup Thursday to meet with Fort Drum, New York soldiers and their families to talk about their services, according to an Army story. The resource fair was free. “The theme we chose was ‘finding your piece of the puzzle,’” Relocation Readiness Program Manager Brian Ladner said. “So, we set everything up into four distinct areas – community programs, family programs, health and wellness, and volunteer opportunities. Putting all those pieces together helps you achieve that healthy life balance.”…

“The Army hopes to begin work on its first privatized barracks building for junior enlisted troops in the next year at Fort Irwin, California,” Military Times reported.
