Beale Air Force Base, California will be home to a new squadron, the Air Force announced in a press release. It will bring about 140 personnel to the base starting in the summer of 2025. “The BMCS will integrate with the Common Mission Control Center at Beale AFB and perform battle management of manned and unmanned new and legacy aircraft and allow greater collaboration between information systems,” the Air Force said of the mission….

Retired Col. Lance O’Bryan will become the new President and CEO of Knox Regional Development Alliance in Kentucky in September, according to a press release. O’Bryan served three times at Fort Knox and was garrison commander from 2021 to 2023. “Fort Knox was his number one choice for his command assignment, and he chose to call our community home upon retiring from the Army,” KRDA Board Chair Marilyn Ford said. “We are so blessed to have yet another amazing military leader help us promote and protect the largest economic engine for our region.” O’Bryan will take the place of Jim Iacocca, who last year announced his retirement and talked about his KRDA service in an episode of America’s Defense Communities | The Podcast.
