Spouses of service members will now get reimbursed up to $1,000 for updating their professional licenses when they move to a new state with the service member. The change was authorized in the new defense policy bill.
A pilot program previously allowed spouses to get reimbursed for up to $500.
“These are huge wins for military spouses, and we’re really excited,” said Jennifer Davis, deputy director of government relations at the National Military Family Association, according to Military Times.
