The Department of Defense released a memo on Monday outlining 39 U.S. states and five host nations that meet conditions for the lifting of Pentagon travel restrictions.
Secretary of Defense Mark Esper signed a “conditions-based, phased approach” plan which are subject to local conditions of the military bases within the permitted locations.
Specifically, the DoD conditions calls for the, “1) Removal of shelter-in-place orders or other travel restrictions; the 14-day downward trajectory COVID-19-like symptoms; and 3) the 14-day downward trajectory of new COVID-19 cases or positive tests.”
