Ohio Gov Mike DeWine (R) is opposed to an Air Force plan to move some Air National Guard personnel who work on space issues into part-time positions in the Space Force, the Dayton Daily News reported.
“Every Ohio National Guard member takes an oath not only to the United States of America but to Ohio as well,” DeWine said. “I honor their dual commitment by ensuring that all Ohio National Guard members can serve in the communities where they live, work and raise their families.”
House Armed Services Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) supports an Air Fore plan that would move a small number of Air National Guard personnel in six states and Washington, D.C. who work on space missions to the Space Force, as On Base has reported.
