SASC Announces Subcommittee Leadership

Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) Chairman Jack Reed (D-RI) and Ranking Member Jim Inhofe (R-OK) announced top Democrat and Republican leadership for its seven subcommittees on Tuesday.

“The Senate Armed Services Committee has twenty-six members, seven subcommittees, and one goal: providing for the common defense with strong oversight and accountability.  We are pleased to welcome several new subcommittee Chairs and Ranking Members,” announced Reed and Inhofe in a statement.

Ranking Member: Sen. Tom Tillis (R-NC)

Subcommittee on Readiness and Management Support (10 members)
Chairman: Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA)
Ranking Member: Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK)

Subcommittee on Seapower (12 members)
Chair: Sen. Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI)
Ranking Member: Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND)

Subcommittee on Strategic Forces (12 members)

Ranking Member: Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE)
