Lendlease and the Army are renovating 12,000 privatized military homes and building 1,200 new ones with $1.1 billion in financing, according to a press release. “Privatization has allowed us to expedite our plans, and we look forward to the continued progress we’ll make over the next five years,” Lendlease Americas CEO Denis Hickey said. The work is being done at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Fort Drum, New York, Fort Hood, Texas and Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii….

The city of Dayton, Ohio has sued Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and DOD for failing to stop PFAS-contaminated water from entering drinking water through the city’s Mad River Wellfield, according to AP….

The Navy will spend more than $39 million to repair stormwater systems at Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island, AP reported. The upgrades will bring the facility into compliance with laws about the disposal of stormwater into Narragansett Bay.
